This is his debut in America. Hard Target was shot in New Orleans, Orleans parish, Louisiana, USA. Though working on a Jean-Claude Van Damme vehicle can be seen as a comedown for Woo, he rises to the occasion to create an often rousing entertainment that is almost inarguably Van Damme's best film to date.

A woman hires a man to find her father, who has been killed by a group of men that hunts military veterans is nother version of "The Most Dangerous Game" Original version was over 2 hours, but MPAA forced Woo to cut some scenes they thought too violent. So Hard Target lost almost half an hour. Let's hope they'll release the 'Original director's version' some day.
