FACE/OFF
7s cut by the BBFC for both cinema and video versions, running time 133:07s,
certificate 18
- Archer (John Travolta) asks his daughter whether she has protection and
demonstrates a butterfly knife by whirling it around. This demonstration
does not pass the censor as the butterfly knife is on their list of no-no's
(See below)
- The girl eventually gets to use the butterfly knife by stabbing Archer,
but we don't get to see the knife

IN GERMANY
All rating and censorship IS voluntary; however, it is a 'hard' ratings
system - if you are under the age given, you may not watch the film in question
(this is enshrined in the law). The possible ratings are: suitable for all ages,
6, 12, 16 and 18.
Once a film has been rated, that is its rating for both cinema and video. It
is quite legal to have two versions of a film. Quite often there is a cut 16
version and an uncut 18 version on video. With few exceptions, they tend to be
less strict here, e.g. Face/Off was rated 16 with no cuts.
HARD BOILED cut ca. 12 minutes for

FACE/OFF Uncut, Rating 16
BULLET IN THE HEAD Cut (runs 98
