The Killer and Hard Boiled DVD releases in France

TF1 Video is about to release some Hong Kong movies on DVD in France. John Woo's The Killer will be released in October 17 and Hard Boiled sometimes later. The Killer looks nice package. It will include longer Taiwanese version and some nice extras like John Woo and Tsui hark interviews and photo gallery including pictures from Woo's personal collection. Unfortunately for copyright reasons there will be no English subtitles at all. DVD is available for pre-orders at Amazon.fr.

Windtalkers opens in November 9

Windtalkers, Woo's next film is in theatres soon (November 9). John Woo's spectacular WINDTALKERS centers on the relationships between the Marines and the Navajo codetalkers they were assigned to protect during World War II. The codetalkers transmitted messages using an unbreakable code based on their native language. The gripping climax takes place during the battle of Saipan when the Marines fighting off the Japanese must safeguard the code at all costs. Film is written by John Rice & Joe Batteer and produced by John Woo, Terence Chang, Tracie Grahamand Alison Rosenzweig. Casting includes Nicolas Cage, Adam Beach and Christian Slater. Red on White news

I know that Red on White hasn't been updated too often recently but we are still here and waiting for the next john Woo movie, Windtalkers. In some review Woo said that M:I-2 was just 75% Woo movie but Windtalkers will be 100% John Woo film. Soon we will find out what it is but I suppose it will be a good one according what I have seen and heard so far. About this site again, I am doing a site update right now but it will be a major one so it will take some time to complete. You should see some results before Christmas. Before that I will post some news updates more often. Now that is a promise. I have some plans to move Red on White to a new domain. Would redonwhite.com be something? Let's wait and see if that will happen.
